German kitchen manufacturer announces successful conclusion of insolvency proceedings

The insolvency proceedings for a German kitchen manufacturer have been successfully concluded as of October 9, 2024. The managing directors Steffen Liebich and Jens Uhe of the company, Brigitte Küchen, announced that the proposed restructuring plan was unanimously approved by the creditors' meeting. This marks the second time the kitchen manufacturer has successfully averted a complete insolvency on its own.

With the cancellation of the self-administration process by the Bielefeld District Court, Brigitte Küchen can now operate fully in 'going concern' mode, which allows the continuation of business activities under normal accounting practices, provided there are no legal or factual obstacles.

This means Brigitte Küchen can proceed with its planned investments at the Hiddenhausen site, bringing relief to both employees and suppliers. Liebich and Uhe expressed their gratitude to all partners and employees for their trust and support during this challenging period. The successful outcome of the insolvency proceedings positions Brigitte Küchen for a more stable future as it looks to implement its growth plans.
