Kettle Home stakeholders revive operations under new company

Following news of the recent liquidation of Kettle Home, suppliers in Vietnam are urgently trying to find buyers for containers of Kettle products currently in transit. The company's recent liquidation has left unpaid suppliers scrambling for solutions.

To address this disruption, stakeholders have announced plans to revive operations under a new company, Agile Imports Limited. The company, which was incorporated on Wednesday, will be managed by Tom Bayliss, a former sales director at Kettle. In a communication to former customers, Bayliss indicated that key stakeholders retain control over available stock, supply, and design rights, with Agile Imports focusing on a streamlined wholesale and container business. This was reported by The Furnishings Report.

A new website has been launched, featuring a price list that confirms ongoing product lines and pricing structures. However, it remains unclear where future stock will originate or how Agile Imports plans to avoid the pitfalls that plagued previous Kettle ventures, including Kettle Interiors U.K., which faced similar challenges in the past 18 months.

Meanwhile, suppliers affected by Kettle Home's liquidation are actively reaching out to other cabinet manufacturers to offload their products at discounted prices. One Vietnamese supplier has reported having four containers already en route to the U.K. and is coordinating with freight forwarders to redirect the shipments if new buyers can be secured.
