At Orgatec in Cologne, COR, the seating furniture manufacturer based in East Westphalia, is expanding its Contract range with the launch of the new Jalis Flow sofa and additions to the Floater collection.
Jalis Flow
With Jalis Flow, the premium brand has succeeded in introducing the archetypal design of the kinked cushion into the Contract sector. 'The inviting experience of sitting on a cushion should not be withheld from the public,' is how the Stuttgart designer duo Jehs+Laub describe their design for COR, adding: 'Jalis Flow is a further development of the modular Jalis sofa, which already works successfully in the home environment.'
However, Jalis Flow has a smaller seat depth of 59 cm, making it perfect for flexible use in large, open spaces. S- or C-shaped configurations are possible, as are endless, winding lines or nests for secluded withdrawal. The back height of each seating element can be varied: with no back at all, or with a low or high backrest. Both fixed and height-adjustable side tables and power connections are available as options. 'Jalis Flow combines fundamental contemporary requirements: softness and cosiness in the Contract sector created by the archetypal cushion shape, coupled with a high degree of flexibility of the individual seating elements, which can be rearranged at any time,' explains Leo Lübke, Managing Partner of COR, in summary.
The Floater system
Floater is a true team player in both the office and the home office. Originally launched as a sofa system, the collection has since been expanded to include desks and panels that allow for configuration as work lounges. A U-panel is now also available, with a frame, on glides, castors or legs, which can be used, for example, as a privacy screen for the printer or as storage space in the office. With additional modules such as clothes rails and shelves, it can easily be transformed into a cloakroom or a private coffee bar. Another panel, in an L-shape and also available on castors, glides or feet, can be placed anywhere in the room. Or it can just as easily be docked onto tables, creating a private space for concentrated work in no time at all.
