Emergency services were alerted to the fire in the afternoon, and approximately 250 personnel were deployed to combat the flames, which reportedly affected two halls at the facility. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. The police estimated the damage to be in the hundreds of thousands of euros.

Local authorities issued warnings to the public, advising residents to close windows and doors to mitigate smoke inhalation risks as the dark plume moved toward the town centre. Firefighting operations were completed by early Monday, and investigations into the cause of the fire are underway. Police have urged witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

As the situation develops, many questions remain unanswered regarding the cause and extent of the fire, which has caused significant disruption in the area. Investigations continue.
