In a world that is constantly changing, where boundaries are blurring and flexibility is becoming essential, de Sede presents a new sculpture that embodies this turning point in history: the DS-909 Flow. The brand will showcase the modular piece at Orgatec in Cologne.
The boundaries between different areas of life are increasingly blurred. Thanks to the simple conversion of properties and global connectivity, workplaces can now be created anywhere in the world at any time. This inspired de Sede to ask: What if a piece of furniture could adapt as effortlessly as water flows through the landscape?
Designed in collaboration with Yonoh Studio, the DS-909 Flow seamlessly adapts to individual lifestyles and changing spatial conditions. Its combination of different seating elements and individually positionable backrests allows for complete freedom in form and function, whether used individually, grouped in a row, indoors, or outdoors.
The art of flowing
The modular elements of the DS-909 Flow can be combined in various ways to create new formations as desired: a tranquil lagoon for relaxation or a fast-flowing current for animated conversations. The freely positionable backrests act like rocks in a river, providing support while remaining movable. Every fold in the leather and stitch reflects de Sede's craftsmanship—details that tell the story of the art of flowing.
A loyal companion through changing times
In an era where living rooms transform into home offices and gardens become open-air conference rooms, the DS-909 Flow is more than furniture; it's a loyal companion in life's fast-flowing river. Monika Walser, CEO of de Sede, summarises: 'We want the DS-909 Flow to inspire people to reinvent their spaces. It is our response to a world in constant flux, where the lines between work and life are increasingly blurred.'
The future of living
The DS-909 Flow embodies our belief that true mastery lies in combining tradition and innovation to tackle future challenges. With every piece that leaves our factory, we send a message: Find your flow and transform your home into a place that evolves with you. The DS-909 Flow serves as an anchor in life's currents, crafted by the masters of Swiss craftsmanship at de Sede.
