Interview with Howard Rosenbaum, President of RFA Decor:

'The US economy overall is quite slow right now because of the elections'

RFA Decor, a Rosenbaum Art Company based in the US, made a strong impression at the Fall 2024 High Point Market, unveiling more than 110 new works of art. RFA Decor's latest collection presented an array of styles and mediums, including hand-embellished giclée prints, original paintings, and intricate sculptures. The collection drew significant attention from attendees, with pieces ranging from abstract and coastal themes to figurative and floral works. We talk to the company's President Howard Rosenbaum.

Can you tell me more about the history of RFA Decor and how it was founded?
'RFA Decor was founded by Marvin and Howard Rosenbaum to bring high-quality, innovative art to the interior design, furniture and hospitality industries at affordable prices.

Since 1979, RFA Decor has been providing cutting-edge artwork, custom-framed and ready-made mirrors, and related art services to residential, business, interior design and retail furniture clients all over the world, employing artists to create works exclusively for our collections.

From unique, original abstract art to hand-embellished giclée prints, there's an artist's touch on every piece. Our in-house art and design team can also create customized digital art, giclée prints and original artwork by size, colour, medium and framing method to match any style, budget or space. Our 30,000 square-foot headquarters in Florida, houses all of the Rosenbaum Art Companies under one roof, providing one-stop shopping for art, wall decor and related services.'

How is the market right now, especially in the US? Do you notice any challenges in the economy or transport right now?
'The US economy overall is quite slow right now because of the elections, but we are still seeing good traffic from people who are looking for special art that they can't get elsewhere. Because all of our art is produced and framed in the US, we are not having issues with container shipping and supply that some of the others in our industry are experiencing.'

What was on show at High Point Market?
'We introduced more than 110 new works of art in our Fall 2024 High Point Market Collection, including hand-embellished giclée prints, original paintings and sculptures. Among the introductions was a hand-embellished giclée based on an original acrylic painting by new RFA Decor artist Kate Baldock.

Other highlights of the Fall Collection included new abstract and coastal art by artist Lawrence Behunek, new abstract art by artists Lara Brooke and Richard Kattman, new coastal art by artist Relja Penezic, new figurative art by artist Cindy Press, new abstract and floral art by artist Robert Robinson, a new abstract series by artist Evan Taylor, and new abstracts from RFA Decor's MOD Collection of moderately priced art.'
