The Salience Search Marketing's annual report evaluates the online performance of several retailers in the UK tile market through 11 key indicators, including search volume trends and brand awareness, to identify industry leaders. The company that came out on top is Tapi, a leading flooring and carpet retailer, which achieved the largest increase in online visibility.

Tapi's online visibility surged by 143% over the past year, driven by its reputation for offering affordable, stylish, and high-quality flooring solutions. It tops the ranking with a significant increase in organic search traffic. Online Carpets follows with a 94% rise in visibility, boosted by its affordable flooring options and convenient services. Tile Giant records a 60% growth, while Fired Earth, known for premium tile designs, sees a 175% boost. Carpet Warehouse rounds out the top five with a massive 377% increase in visibility.
However, not all brands fared well. Topps Tiles experienced the largest decline, with a 22% drop in online traffic, despite its wide selection of high-quality tiles. Tile Mountain, Flooring Superstore, and Porcelain Superstore also saw declines, with British Ceramic Tile suffering an 85% reduction in organic search traffic.
The overall tile industry has seen a 31% increase in search traffic, reflecting rising consumer interest in tiles and flooring.
