A Danish furniture chain, previously available only through Coop's website, is set to launch its dedicated webshop on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. The new platform of the company FDB Møbler, will feature a complete range of classic and contemporary designs, aiming to enhance the shopping experience for customers. Ole Kiel, CEO of FDB Møbler, emphasises the benefits of having a dedicated online space to showcase their products in an article with Wood Supply.

The move comes as Coop prepares to close its main online store, but customers can still shop in person at nine physical locations across Denmark. FDB Møbler recently opened a flagship store on Bredgade 19 in Copenhagen, with another location scheduled to open on Aarhus' Strøget in February.
Despite facing significant financial challenges, including a substantial increase in losses this year, FDB Møbler continues to push forward. Earlier in the year, the company had to borrow funds from Coop Amba due to ongoing financial difficulties. The new webshop will also allow Coop members to retain their discounts, reinforcing the brand's commitment to providing accessible, high-quality design.
