JYSK has announced that it will temporarily close all its stores for a special staff celebration, an event that is expected to cost the company around 10 million SEK. The Danish furniture chain plans to host the event as a way to recognise and reward its employees, reflecting the company's commitment to its workforce.

On November 10, all 158 Jysk stores in Sweden will be closed. The reason is that the night before, the company is bringing together all its staff from across the country for an employee celebration at Gothia Towers in Gothenburg. The celebration is a tradition since the 90s, aimed at enhancing employee morale and fostering a sense of community among staff members. By closing all stores, JYSK ensures that every employee can participate, highlighting the importance of teamwork and appreciation within the organisation.
Despite the financial implications of the closure, costing JYSK around 10 million SEK, the company believes that investing in its employees is crucial for long-term success.
