At the international trade fair for modern working environments, Orgatec, the active office furniture manufacturer Aeris presented its latest innovation: the office and conference chair series Aeris Linu. As part of an AR production, the chair was digitally 'unveiled' in front of the halls on the exhibition grounds and virtually enlarged to an impressive height of 10 metres.
'The last few years have been strongly influenced by hybrid working methods, which has enormously increased the demands on our workplaces and at the same time brought meeting rooms to the fore, which are now in constant use. That's why we've developed a series of office and conference chairs that make the office and long meetings fun again, boost creative energy and are so comfortable that you won't want to get up,' says Patrick Wurm, CGO of Aeris.
The Aeris Linu is a dynamic chair that uses a completely new flex kinematics to allow the user to move fluidly forward, backward and to the side. In every position, the body is optimally supported, whether you are leaning forward while writing or leaning back and relaxing. The office and conference chair also features a feather-light spring strut that supports a health-promoting up and down swing.
The optimal freedom of movement ensures that you stay alert and focused during a long working day. This makes the Aeris Linu an excellent choice as a conference chair for long meetings as well as a classic office chair for the office or home office.
Modular design for maximum flexibility
The modular configuration allows the Aeris Linu to be customised so that the chair can be adapted to the specific requirements of the workplace and the preferences of the user. Users can choose between four different frames (spring strut, column, 4-beam cross or skid frame) and between castors and glides.
The Cura cover fabric is available in five colours (black, grey, light grey, fern green or blue), so that the Aeris Linu can be seamlessly integrated into any interior design concept. A real eye-catcher in any meeting room or office.
Comfort and support for long periods of sitting
The Aeris Linu offers excellent seating comfort thanks to its high backrest and comfortable upholstery. The integrated lumbar support and the gently rounded front seat edge promote an upright posture and prevent unhealthy postures. In addition, the tapered shape of the backrest ensures flexibility in the shoulder area, so that movements always remain fluid.
A revolutio nary 'green' chair
The Aeris Linu is hand-assembled in Germany and subject to the highest quality controls. By working with local suppliers that practice the circular economy, Aeris is setting new standards in environmentally conscious furniture production.
Particular attention was paid to the selection of sustainable materials. For example, the Cura upholstery fabric is made from 100 per cent recycled polyester and offers an easy-care, robust surface that is also designed to last.
With its latest innovation, the active chair manufacturer is demonstrating its commitment to a sustainable future and proving that functionality, sophisticated design and environmental awareness can go hand in hand.
Always moving: the Aeris Active Office concept
In times when hybrid working models and flexible office design are becoming increasingly important, a change in office equipment is indispensable. Regardless of whether you work from the office, home office, co-working space, etc., one thing usually remains the same: hours of rigid sitting.
The number of problems caused by this speaks volumes: 96.7 million sick days in German companies due to back pain in 2022 alone. This means high costs for companies and the healthcare system, not to mention the fates of those affected. So there is a great need for action.
Against this background, Aeris presented its 'Aeris Active Office' concept at ORGATEC 2024, which shows how modern working environments should be designed: always dynamic and therefore productive, motivating and, above all, healthy.
AR installations at the Aeris stand
With the latest augmented reality features, Aeris enabled Orgatec visitors to experience the seamless connection of space and technology up close. With the help of a special app for smartphones and tablets, users could interactively explore the exhibition stand and discover innovative functions.
