Following a recent report that Crypton was suing Williams-Sonoma for a trademark misuse, the company has again made news headlines. This time, the allegations are that Williams-Sonoma is misleading consumers by falsely advertising free shipping for items purchased on the website for its Rejuvenation lighting, hardware and home furnishings brand.

Filed by plaintiff Dimitri Kermani, the lawsuit claims that Williams-Sonoma falsely promotes "Free Shipping Site-Wide" for Rejuvenation's lighting, hardware, and home furnishings, despite charging certain customers additional shipping fees.
Kermani, who seeks to represent a California class of consumers affected over the past four years, alleges that Williams-Sonoma's free shipping offers contain undisclosed restrictions. According to Kermani, a customer service representative initially confirmed he would receive a shipping refund for an item purchased under the free shipping promotion. However, he was later informed that the item didn't qualify for free shipping due to its weight, resulting in a $159 charge.
The lawsuit, filed in federal court in California, seeks a jury trial, declaratory and injunctive relief, and compensatory damages, including actual, statutory, and punitive damages for Kermani and other affected consumers.
