More & More Design's Aoveland takes centre stage

'Blending local materials with modern, eco-sustainable elements'

More & More Design is a renowned 360º design studio based in the heart of Andalusia. Combining tradition with avant-garde creativity, this third-generation family-run business has established itself in the luxury interior design industry. The recent recognition of Best Retail Interior Design, 2024 by Luxury Lifestyle Awards for its work on Aoveland, an olive oil boutique and tasting experience in Jaén, Spain, is a tribute to its craftsmanship and vision.

More & More Design's strong connection with art and contemporary craftsmanship sets it apart in the luxury interior design industry. The studio was awarded the prestigious National Craftsmanship Award, further affirming its commitment to elevating design into an art form. More & More Design also embraces cutting-edge technology, incorporating innovative tools like a 3D ceramic printer to craft intricate, artistic, and exclusive pieces. This combination of traditional craftsmanship and state-of-the-art technology enables the studio to push the boundaries of design, creating bespoke, one-of-a-kind interiors that flawlessly blends heritage with modern innovation.

Aoveland: A Tribute to Andalusia's Heritage
More & More Design's award-winning project, Aoveland, is an immersive experience that perfectly encapsulates the rich cultural and natural heritage of Jaén. Inspired by the beauty of Baeza, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its Renaissance monuments, the design draws heavily from the region's historical and natural elements, particularly the rolling olive groves that define the Andalusian landscape.

The studio's design approach for Aoveland was to honour both the history and natural beauty of the region, blending local materials with modern, eco-sustainable elements. The result is a space that effortlessly connects the past and present, offering visitors a luxurious and deeply engaging experience.

Native materials, including centuries-old olive wood and sandstone, were used to evoke a sense of place and history. More & More Design also integrated contemporary elements such as Dekton Petra Kode, an innovative material made from 80% recycled content, which mirrors the ruggedness of stone and earth. These materials reflect the studio's commitment to sustainability without sacrificing the elegance and luxury that define its work.

As guests enter Aoveland, they are greeted by warm, textured walls finished with clay-based paint, giving the space a tactile connection to the land. Overhead, the ceiling is adorned with a liquid gold coating that captures the essence of Andalusia's 'liquid gold' - olive oil. Every detail, from the bespoke furniture made from olive wood to the eco-conscious lighting, is thoughtfully planned to elevate the customer's experience and pay homage to the region's deep-rooted culture.

The intersection of tradition and innovation
More & More Design has perfected the balance of blending traditional craftsmanship with modern design elements. Its work on Aoveland stands out not only for its aesthetic appeal but also for the narrative it tells. The project merges Andalusia's cultural heritage with innovative design, creating a retail environment that is as functional as it is beautiful.

The studio's approach is deeply rooted in their philosophy of 'luxury contemporary craftsmanship.' For Aoveland, this meant bringing in local craftsmen to collaborate on the project, ensuring that every element—whether it be furniture, cladding, or lighting - was produced locally. This 'Kilometer 0' concept not only supports local artisans but also reinforces More & More Design's commitment to sustainability by reducing the environmental impact of the project.

By merging local artistry with cutting-edge technology, More & More Design created a space that honors the past while embracing the future. The juxtaposition of centuries-old olive wood with recycled materials like Dekton speaks to the studio's ability to innovate while staying true to its roots.

Sustainability at the core
One of the standout features of More & More Design's approach to retail interior design is its unwavering commitment to sustainability. The Aoveland project exemplifies this, as every material was carefully selected to minimise environmental impact. From the use of low-consumption LED lighting to eco-sustainable wall coatings, sustainability was at the forefront of every design decision.

Its use of Dekton Petra Kode, a material made from 80% recycled content, characterises the studio's forward-thinking approach. This eco-friendly surface is not only durable and robust but also aligns with the studio's ethos of creating luxury designs that do not compromise the environment.

More & More Design's thoughtful use of local materials further illustrates its sustainable vision. The olive wood, which plays a central role in the project's design, was sourced from the region's ancient olive trees, giving the space a tactile connection to the land. This dedication to environmental consciousness ensures that its designs are not only visually stunning but also environmentally responsible.
