The 54th CIFF Shanghai 2024, which concluded successfully last September, served as a dedicated venue for advancing design in China's high-end furniture and interior design market.
This year's event gave significant attention to premium design brands and activities targeted at top-tier interior designers and commercial professionals. Design Eden's Contemporary Design Trade Fair, themed "Colorful Life," spanned 50,000 m² of exhibition space across Halls 4.1 and 5.1, featuring over 40 leading design brands. This vibrant exhibition showcased the latest trends in home design, blending creativity with commercial appeal to offer an immersive experience that celebrates innovation in modern living.
Around fifteen design events were held to explore relevant topics and provide information, inspiration, and networking opportunities. Since 2015, the East Design Show at CIFF Shanghai has captivated young independent designers, establishing itself as a premier platform to turn creative visions into business. This year's theme, "Ieleness," introduced a relaxed, playful vibe, inviting visitors to explore the art of unwinding through innovative designs.
The Grand View Tea Ceremony exhibition, themed "Zen Life," celebrated Eastern elegance by merging traditional aesthetics with modern design. In Hongqiao, it showcased tea companies, utensils, spaces, and a Song Dynasty market, immersing visitors in authentic tea rituals and Zen culture.
The Design Dream Show (DDS) collaborated with "Listen to Lin" We-Media and 12 brands to create a whimsical "Dream Garden" themed "A Life of Perfection." Featuring 170,000 pink daisy grasses, this imaginative space harmoniously blended diverse brands, celebrating life's richness while emphasizing each brand's unique essence and value.
The Siza Theme Exhibition, curated by Liu Chunyi, celebrated the enduring legacy of architect Álvaro Siza, showcasing rare sketches, models, and product designs. The Design Gravity Show, themed "Gravity," united top designers and brands, exploring the "law of attraction" in design through co-curated concepts and demonstrations.
The Limited IN exhibition highlighted the distinctive allure of premium furniture brands, uniting top domestic and international designers. The COOMO & CIFF International Soft Furnishings Area showcased over 10 esteemed mid-to-high-end brands, presenting exceptional textile craftsmanship and premium imported fabrics.
The Italian Lounge, conceived by Edimotion and designed by AIPI (Italian Association of Professional Interior Designers), highlighted the value of the Italian lifestyle and its emotional impact on living spaces.
The Shanghai Office Life Theme Pavilion 2024 introduced "Design·Cloud Habitat," inspired by traditional Chinese architecture, promoting social interaction and integration in modern office design.
The CIFF Selected Show transcended a mere showcase, serving as a vibrant hub for industry insights and trend forecasting. Participating brands gain extensive visibility, engage with a targeted audience, and collaborate with global trend experts.
