Maison&Objet embarks on new chapter in Hong Kong

Maison&Objet is embarking on an exciting new chapter in Hong Kong, in collaboration with the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency, with the aim of establishing the city as Asia's leading design hub.

This December, the inaugural Hong Kong Design Week will launch, coinciding with the renowned Business of Design Week and the Design Inspire exhibition by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. From December 5-7, 2024, the Maison&Objet Design Factory will present a curated experience at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, featuring 120 brands and 15 groundbreaking designers focused on sustainable design.

The event will highlight French craftsmanship, innovative materials, and eco-conscious design through five distinct spaces:

  • -"Muse Nature": A cross-cultural exhibition featuring 10 French and 10 Chinese artisans, curated by Qionger Jiang, showcasing the prestigious Prix de Les Lauréats de l'Intelligence de la Main.
  • Eco-friendly Housing by Normal Studio: A display of sustainable housing solutions.
  • MatériO': A collection of 9,000 innovative materials curated by Quentin Hirsinger and matériO SAS.
  • Le French Design: A selection of 13 design pieces displayed in a space designed by Uchronia.
  • "Terra Cosmos": An immersive experience by Elizabeth Leriche exploring the balance between earth and sky.

This collaboration promises to offer a dynamic, citywide design journey through 60 creative venues, celebrating the convergence of innovation and sustainability.
