Founded by Kamil Wangin and Simon Hawkins, the retailer, North Home began as an online venture before opening a successful pop-up store in Victoria Gate in 2020, followed by its first permanent store on Vicar Lane in 2021. The new store will offer an elevated shopping experience, blending classic and contemporary design features. It will include a gourmet food hall, a bar area, and an entire floor designed as an apartment, allowing customers to experience the North Home aesthetic in various room settings.
North Home's design philosophy centres on minimalist Scandinavian-inspired interiors, with curated collections aimed at bringing comfort and joy to the home. Founder Kamil Wangin expressed excitement about expanding the brand into such an iconic location in Leeds, highlighting the store's unique offering and focus on customer experience.
The new store will be created in collaboration with interior design specialists Design Tonic, ensuring a blend of heritage and modern styling. Construction is underway, with the store expected to open later this autumn.
