The lawyers handling the bankruptcy proceedings of the auction house Lauritz.com have filed a claim for DKK 26.6 million against the company's former management. This claim is detailed in a report prepared by the two bankruptcy trustees, Rune Derno and Henrik Selchau Poulsen, according to Ekstra Bladet. The claim is contested by the former management, as noted in the report.

The trustees argue that the former management continued operating the company when it should have been shut down, making the individuals liable for damages. The claim targets the leadership for their role in the company's financial collapse. Among those implicated are Bengt and Mette Sundstrøm, the couple behind Lauritz.com. Prior to the bankruptcy, Bengt Sundstrøm was the chairman of the board, while Mette Sundstrøm served as CEO.
In addition to the financial claim, the trustees have also pursued a three-year bankruptcy ban against Bengt and Mette Sundstrøm, along with two other former management members. This legal action seeks to prevent them from holding management positions in future companies.
The case highlights ongoing legal challenges following the auction house's collapse, with significant financial and reputational consequences for the former leadership.
