HIDEO has received the BIG SEE Product Design Award 2024, assigned to the bathtub TR-1620/Trono in the Home category.
Established in 2018, the BIG SEE Awards are an increasingly accredited annual contest based in South Eastern Europe. The contest has a global vision and selects the most creative and responsible products, with the aim of furthering urgent changes in the way people live, work, and consume. It currently brings together 21 countries and acknowledges the worth of products in six macro-categories: projects that stand out for their particular value from the point of view of ergonomics, aesthetics, environmental sustainability, emotional impact, and commercial potential.
All aspects which, according to the jury of the 2024 edition, define the bathtub TR-1620/Trono, which is described as 'based on the harmonious encounter of circular and squared lines to offer two complementary and specular experiences: on the one hand, it outlines an enveloping circular space, and on the other, the squared surface is tilted to comfortably support the back.'
The statement continues describing TR-1620/Trono as a bathtub distinguished by 'clean lines, a functional design, and a slender and elegant shape that make it both comfortable and practical. Its design balances classic geometry and contemporary use, making the piece versatile for the most diverse occasions.'
Its large size allows it to accommodate up to two people, soaking fully in the tub in complete relaxation. Trono is made of a pure material with a matt off-white silky-effect texture, which gives rise to thin rounded edges and creates supple arches by means of particular modelling techniques.
