Ten years after its foundation, Abimis opens its first single-brand showroom in Milan. Located at Corso Monforte 16, inside a historic 17th-century building, the showroom opens onto two courtyards: one featuring an elegant colonnade marking three sides, and the other a small, intimate, secret garden.
Visitors can view these spaces through windows that divide the showroom, which spans about 90 square metres on the ground floor. The showroom integrates seamlessly with the building's original features. It is from these glimpses that the antithesis between old and new begins, reflecting Abimis' philosophy, with its kitchens inspired by and renewing tradition.

The showroom's four rooms showcase a comparison between the brand's stainless steel solutions—designed for domestic use but with a professional aesthetic—and the original details of the building. Each room features a different collection: Ego, Atelier, Atria, and AlterEgo. The interior design by Studio Salaris uses sandy tones, textural surfaces, and original flooring in terrazzo tiles and anthracite-painted parquet.
Ego occupies the largest room, the last in the showroom itinerary. Abimis' most representative line is displayed in a large island version made from hand-polished AISI 304 stainless steel, with satin brass ring handles, an integrated snack top, and columns featuring ovens and coffee machines. A wallpaper with natural tones and light circular geometries evokes the celestial vault, creating an abstract, astral landscape where the kitchens' innovative aesthetics and metalwork are perfectly integrated. The lunar atmosphere is heightened by a large smoked-glass suspension lamp, while the vault above is painted in a polished earth-pink enamel, mirroring the colour of the building's façade.
Before Ego, visitors encounter the outdoor model Àtria, in a hall featuring a mezzanine with a stainless steel parapet crafted by Abimis. The Atelier collection is displayed in a wall block with a mirror finish that reflects the texture of the terrazzo flooring, and the AlterEgo sideboard, located at the showroom's entrance, features doors covered in briarwood and rounded details characteristic of the collection.
'The Abimis brand has grown significantly over this decade, and after a first space in Brera shared with other brands, we are proud of this important step. Abimis Monforte best expresses our philosophy—the balance between historical heritage and cutting-edge design. We wanted to provocatively accompany the inauguration with the slogan "Come and discover the kitchen that didn't exist". The space is warm, measured, but also in some way star-studded to complement the monolithic and iridescent image of our kitchens,' says Anna Ongaro, at the helm of the brand.
Beyond the mezzanine railing, the brand's bespoke steelwork capacity is evident in a large portal covered in stainless steel, marking the passage between the entrance and the kitchen display rooms. Metal covers conceal air conditioning components, and shelves equip two functional niches. In the service area, the sink cabinet is crafted with the rounded corners typical of the Ego collection.
'The showroom not only features kitchens but also tells our entire story, linked to our parent company, Prisma, and its 40 years of expertise in professional stainless steel catering. We used compositional elements and coating solutions to communicate who we are and what we've always done: transforming raw steel into unique, customised solutions with craftsmanship,' concludes Ongaro.
