2024 is a year of great celebrations for Albed, a Lombardia-based brand specialised in the production of high-end doors and technical solutions for interior architecture. The company reaches the important milestone of 60 years: more than half a century of quality and research that have led it to become a reference for designers at the international level, collaborating with some of the most prestigious architectural firms.
Albed's history began in 1964 in Milan under the name Boccolini & Delmonte as a producer of aluminium furnishing accessories. In 1983, the company moved to Nova Milanese (MB), where the current headquarters were built. In 1996, the brand was officially born. In addition to furnishing complements, the company began producing doors and partitioning systems, and Boccolini & Delmonte became Albed.
Over these 60 years, the company has evolved, but its DNA, rooted in aluminium manufacturing, has remained unchanged. Starting with this material, Albed has built a complete system of solutions: classic hinged doors, walk-in closets, and furniture complements, among others. This varied and versatile range of proposals goes beyond the traditional catalogue concept. Thanks to its strong technical know-how and in-house production management, every Albed product can be highly customized, offering architects and interior designers a tailor-made service from the early stages of a project to post-sale support.
A company with solid manufacturing know-how, Albed is also a brand that values design. Over the years, it has collaborated with major international designers such as Alfonso Femia / AF*Design, Simone Micheli, Fabio Cester, Karim Rashid, and Daniele Lo Scalzo Moscheri.
Today, Albed is a globally recognised brand, with exports accounting for about 70% of its total turnover. It has a strong presence in Europe, the United States, China, and the United Arab Emirates. Albed's international expansion has been further strengthened in recent years with the opening of single-brand showrooms in strategic districts of Milan, Moscow, Seoul, Rome, and Manila.
