Stig Maasbøl has stepped down as CEO of ScanCom International in early November 2024 after 15 years at the helm of the garden furniture manufacturer. ScanCom is part of the Danish Lars Larsen Group, and Maasbøl's departure marks a significant transition for the company, which has seen substantial growth during his tenure.

In 2021 Maasbøl was the winner in the category 'Green Solutions' at the HRH Crown Prince Frederik International Business Awards. The award recognises a person that have successfully driven and implemented initiatives that contribute to a better environmental effort, through presenting an outstanding effort in promoting sustainable Danish products, services and values worldwide.
ScanCom also recently reported a 12% decline in sales for the 2023/2024 financial year, with revenues dropping to DKK 861 million (approximately €115.4 million).
This marks the second consecutive year of declining sales for the company. The decrease in sales was accompanied by a fall in EBIT, although the company has expressed confidence in its strategic adjustments moving forward to reverse the trend.
Despite these challenges, ScanCom continues to focus on expanding its global presence and improving operational efficiency to bolster its financial performance in the coming years.
