Fritz Hansen, in collaboration with Swiss furniture retailer Teo Jakob AG, has unveiled a unique traveling exhibition in Bern, Switzerland, recreating the iconic Room 606 from Arne Jacobsen's legendary SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen.
This immersive showcase, open until January 10, 2025, invites visitors to step back into the 1960s and explore the groundbreaking design universe of the Danish architect and designer.
Room 606 is celebrated as a masterpiece of mid-century modern design, and many of the furnishings Jacobsen created for the hotel remain timeless icons. The exhibition features original pieces such as the Egg™ lounge chair, the Swan™ and Drop™ chairs, and the Series 3300™ sofa and armchair, all of which are still produced by Fritz Hansen.
This event offers design enthusiasts a rare chance to experience Jacobsen's vision up close and appreciate the enduring elegance of his work.
The exhibition is open to the public at Teo Jakob, Gerechtigkeitsgasse 25, Bern. Opening times are Tuesday to Friday (12pm to 6pm), and Saturday (10am to 4pm).
