Inside Sabrina Carpenter's vintage-inspired home: a peek at the pop star’s luxurious and floral sanctuary

Sabrina Carpenter, known for her hit song 'Espresso,' may often be likened to a real-life Polly Pocket, but her new home tells a different story – one that's far removed from plastic and playful '90s vibes. The interior designer responsible for her home, Francesca Grace, has shared insights into the space's design, revealing that it's both ultra-feminine and steeped in vintage and Victorian charm.

In an exclusive interview with people from her Los Angeles office, Grace clarified that Carpenter's home isn't filled with plastic or quirky elements, but rather reflects her love of vintage aesthetics, florals, and shades of pink. 'There's definitely no plastics,' Grace remarked with a laugh. 'She's not funky like that. She loves vintage and beautiful pink and florals.'

Grace pointed to the stacks of large wallpaper rolls behind her, in delicate shades of powder pink, and explained, 'It's just so much stuff that I love.' Carpenter's home is now adorned with charming and timeless details, creating an elegant, romantic atmosphere that reflects her personal style.

Recently, Carpenter shared a glimpse of her kitchen nook on Instagram, showcasing a wallpaper with an orange-and-white striped floral print from House of Hackney, paired with ruffled and striped pillows by Alice Palmer & Co. The project began eight months ago, and according to Grace, it is nearly complete. However, Carpenter's career has taken off even more since they first started the design process.

'When she hired me, she was really famous, but in the past eight months, she's become probably the number one pop star in the world,' Grace revealed. The interior designer, known for her work with stars such as Justin Bieber, Hilary Duff, and Alicia Keys, noted that Carpenter's schedule had since become overwhelmingly busy. 'She's on the road 24/7. She's the busiest human I've ever witnessed,' Grace said, mentioning that Carpenter is currently mid-tour with her Short n' Sweet world tour and recently performed at the VMAs, winning the 2024 Song of the Year award.

Grace shared that Carpenter trusts her because their tastes align closely. 'She's seen the vibe that I usually do in my own home, and she's like, I want that,' Grace said.

The designer, who started her career staging luxury homes and working on HGTV's Fix My Flip, crafted custom pieces for Carpenter's residence. The décor features Victorian-inspired details, floral patterns, and warm earth tones like green and amber velvets, balancing the more feminine elements.

A defining aspect of Carpenter's home is its vibrant and busy atmosphere; blank spaces are a rarity. 'As a creative person, she doesn't like a white box,' Grace explained. 'We've wallpapered every single room basically at this point. She loves a print.'

Although Carpenter has no immediate plans to showcase her home to the public, Grace finds joy in seeing her work in the background of Carpenter's social media posts. 'Just to be designing her house, I feel very special,' she said.
