Director of UK bathroom & kitchen fitting company charged for violent behaviour during riots

Joe MacKenzie, 28, co-director of DL3 Property Solutions, a bathroom & kitchen fitting company from the UK, has been found guilty of violent disorder related to politically driven riots in Middlesbrough in August 2024. The riots began on August 4 after a protest escalated, spreading chaos across the city.

CCTV footage showed MacKenzie shouting abuse and throwing objects at police. He denied intending violence but admitted shouting out of frustration.

Following his conviction, MacKenzie remains in custody awaiting sentencing in January. His company has faced public backlash, receiving negative reviews and a voluntary strike-off notice.

Following MacKenzie's court appearance, DL3 Property Solutions experienced a surge of negative feedback across its social media, which has not been updated since July. The company's Facebook page now features a one-star review rating due to the backlash.
