The British Furniture Association (BFA) is urging its members to prepare and submit entries for the Future of Furniture Awards, an event that celebrates excellence in the furniture industry. Now in their third year, these awards are divided into four categories: the Future of Excellence in Education Award, Future of Excellence in Sustainability Award, Future of Excellence in ESG Reporting, and the Future of Excellence Sustainability Champion.

The awards have gained traction in the UK, highlighted by their mention during the BFA's recent rebranding from the British Furniture Manufacturers (BFM). The event, which includes key industry figures such as Adam Thompson MP, Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Furniture Industry Group, underscores the importance of these accolades.
The winners will be announced at a special reception during the BFA's Furniture Component Expo, scheduled for 19-20 March 2025 at the Telford International Centre. The entry deadline is 17 January 2025, with no limit on the number of categories members can enter.
Phil Spademan, Managing Director of the BFA, advised that, 'after Christmas, the deadline will quickly approach, so we encourage members to prepare their submissions ahead of time'. He emphasised that the winners would receive extensive promotion and recognition not just during the awards event but throughout the year.
