Leadership change in Miele corporate communications

Miele Group has announced a leadership change in its corporate communications team. After 15 years, Carsten Prudent, Senior Vice President Communications, is retiring at 64. His role was filled by Martin Wielgus on December 1st. Wielgus, 42, joined from Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG, where he led corporate communications and marketing for two years. He has also headed corporate communications at Jungheinrich AG and managed CDU communications in Hamburg.

Rebecca Steinhage, Managing Director of Human Resources & Corporate Affairs, said, 'We are delighted to welcome Martin Wielgus, whose extensive experience makes him an excellent fit for Miele. We are confident he will play a key role in the company's future development.'

Steinhage also expressed gratitude for Prudent's service: 'The entire management team thanks Carsten for his many years of successful commitment to our company and its perception, both internally and externally. We very much regret his departure and wish him all the best for the new phase of his life.'

Prudent, a qualified lawyer and business journalist, joined Miele on July 1, 2009, as head of press and public relations and took over internal communications in 2013.
