Celebrity Christmas decorations that inspire and divide opinions

As Christmas approaches, celebrities are sharing their extravagant holiday decorations, offering fans a peek into their festive preparations. From oversized trees to subtle, cosy touches, these stars are showcasing a range of styles. However, experts are divided on which looks to emulate and which to avoid.

Amanda Holden has embraced a glamorous approach with metallics and sparkle. Liv Conlon, founder of ThePropertyStagers, praises her sophisticated style but cautions against overcrowding. 'If your space is smaller, fewer, well-placed pieces will keep the look chic.'

Kim Kardashian's massive white tree has drawn mixed reviews. Johanna Constantinou of Tapi Carpets describes it as 'impressively tall with glowing white lights,' but notes it feels excessive for most homes.

Meanwhile, Kourtney Kardashian's décor features a modern, elegant setup with white lights and red ornaments. 'The minimalist coffee table and clean lines highlight the festive warmth,' says Johanna.

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan opt for a traditional red and green theme with oversized baubles. Liv appreciates their timeless approach but advises scaling down for smaller spaces. Similarly, Paris Fury's bold red-themed tree with oversized Nutcracker soldiers is criticised for being too crowded. Liv suggests balancing the size of decorations with the tree itself.

Amy Childs takes a minimalist approach, incorporating nostalgic tinsel. 'It has an 80s throwback charm, but adding a cohesive colour scheme would tie the look together,' says Liv.

Expert Tommy Kebbson of Kebbson & Co explains there are two main approaches to holiday decorating: nostalgic and minimalist. Nostalgic styles focus on mismatched ornaments and personal touches, while minimalist trends favour selective, elegant pieces. 'Finding a balance between the two can create warmth and personality in your décor,' he adds.

For those planning their decorations, Tommy advises sticking to a pre-determined theme to avoid clutter. 'Overcrowding can make a space feel messy rather than festive,' he notes, adding that personal touches and planning are key to a successful setup.

From Amanda Holden's sparkling glamour to Paris Fury's bold statement, celebrity Christmas décor offers plenty of inspiration—but it's important to adapt the trends to your own space and style.
