Simon Richmond, director at luxury appliance brand Gaggenau UK, has confirmed that he will step down before the end of December to commence his retirement.

Richmond joined Gaggenau in 2020 and has been credited with playing a key role in the company's recent success. During his tenure, he contributed significantly to the brand's growth and development, strengthening its market position and enhancing its product portfolio.
Prior to his role at Gaggenau, Richmond was the managing director of Poggenpohl UK from 2012 to 2022. His time at the German kitchen manufacturer followed his appointment as Poggenpohl's director of operations in 2007. He brought extensive industry experience to the role, having spent 14 years with Jewson before joining Poggenpohl. Richmond was succeeded at Poggenpohl by Sharon Wallis, who now serves as managing director.
Reflecting on his career, Richmond commented: 'I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Gaggenau and am proud of the successes we have achieved as a team. I am confident the brand will continue to thrive in the coming years, and I wish them every success.'
Gunjan Srivastava, CEO of BSH UK & Ireland, Gaggenau's parent company, also expressed gratitude for Richmond's contributions: 'I would like to thank Simon for his hard work and dedication to the Gaggenau brand during his time with us. He has been instrumental in the recent growth we have enjoyed and has created a fantastic platform for us to build on. We wish him well in his retirement.'
The company has announced that details regarding Richmond's successor will be revealed in due course.
