Launched in January 2025, Paint & Paper Library's 'Jewels' capsule collection includes eight paint colours as a tribute to the surprising and enchanting power of nature. Each colour can completely transform a room, either as a powerful stand-alone shade or when combined with Paint & Paper Library's 'Original' or 'Architectural' shades for an accent.
'Jewels' shades include the striking rust orange 'Atlas', the soft and delicate pink 'Rose Cluster', the vibrant magenta 'Cobalto', the brilliant, modern turquoise 'Blue Tiger', the lush green 'Malachite', the surprising and enchanting sulphur yellow 'Peruvian Yellow' and the distinctive, deep pistachio green 'Midelt Sage'. Trend enthusiasts will also appreciate the alluring 'Purple Azurite', a bold addition to the usual Paint & Paper Library colour palette, which nevertheless offers the same distinctive look.
Andy Greenall, Head of Design Paint & Paper Library: "We recognise better than anyone that there is rarely anything more beautiful designed than what nature itself creates. So for these colours, we sought out some of the lesser-known, and therefore most mysterious, natural colour sources we could find.
The collection offers not only the colours themselves, but also insights, straight from nature, on how to apply them in a design, combined with a neutral palette.
I can see these shades being applied to large areas and in bold proportions by confident colourists. Thanks to the quick drying time and multi-surface properties of 'Architectural' finishes, entire rooms can be transformed effortlessly and quickly, with the same beautiful colour and finish on all surfaces.
In serene interiors, these shades act as elegant colour accents on woodwork, trims or furniture. This adds a highlight, just as a vase of flowers does. For those reluctant to embrace strong, bold colours, applying these vibrant new shades in the smallest room of the house is a perfect way to integrate them into the home without it feeling overwhelming."
