TMF, Trä- och Möbelföretagen, is making a major investment in a brand-new knowledge stage at the 2025 edition of Stockholm Furniture Fair. Industry Talks in February next year will become the natural gathering place for future-focused industry discussions. Cecilia Ask Engström, Head of Industry & Business Policy at TMF, stated that the programme will feature conversations and discussions with a particular emphasis on innovation in both materials and business practices, sustainability, and circular transitions.
In collaboration with Stockholm Furniture Fair, TMF aims to create a shared platform for knowledge exchange and dialogue across the entire industry. Additional partners include Sveriges Arkitekter, Svenska Institutet, and Svensk Form.
'We look forward to gathering not only our fantastic companies, but also key stakeholders such as buyers, other organisations, and designers to discuss the innovation and future challenges currently shaping the industry,' says Cecilia Ask Engström.
The programme will offer around twenty seminars covering topics such as sustainable interiors, sustainability requirements and product passes, circular economy, and procurement. Sandra Furtenbach, project manager for Industry Talks at TMF, emphasised the aim to provide a diverse programme that offers valuable insights and knowledge for all attendees.
Industry Talks will take place in hall C, within the Material Dialogues area, which also includes a design bar and an exhibition curated by designer Emma Olbers. The Material Dialogues meeting space aims to inspire conversations and insights on circularity and lifecycle analysis, featuring both circular solutions and innovative materials.
Stockholm Furniture Fair will be held from 4-8 February 2025 at Stockholmsmässan, alongside Stockholm Design Week from 3-9 February.
