Festive log cabin with a holiday shop hits the market for $3 million

For those dreaming of a home straight out of a Christmas movie, a one-of-a-kind log cabin property in Redmond, Washington, might just be the ultimate gift. Priced at $3 million, this holiday haven, known as Timber Creek, offers more than just a place to live – it's a magical lifestyle wrapped in festive cheer.

Situated 15 miles east of Seattle, Timber Creek spans over 9 acres and features a charming 1936 log home with three bedrooms, a converted barn, and a thriving seasonal home décor business. Described by estate agent Joshua Service of Compass as 'magical,' the property exudes holiday spirit at every turn.

The current owners, who purchased the estate 26 years ago, initially opened a Western-style interior design store. Over time, it evolved into a full-blown holiday shop, brimming with Christmas décor and festive goods. Service explained, 'The shop, the residence, and the former barn have all merged into one, creating a unique showroom experience.'

The shop itself has even spilled into the first floor of the main house, with festive inventory displayed from "floor to ceiling." The owners run the business for just three months each year, generating an impressive $250,000 in seasonal revenue. The sale of the property includes all existing fixtures, inventory, and even the rights to the business name, 'The Christmas Shop at Timber Creek,' making it a turnkey opportunity for potential buyers.

The estate has been likened to a Hallmark movie set, with Service describing it as 'something Santa and Mrs. Claus would be living in.' From the log home's rustic charm to the barn's potential for conversion, the property offers endless possibilities. Prospective buyers could choose to live in the main house while maintaining the shop or use the barn for additional commercial purposes.
