In a development signalling future expansion, the solid wood furniture manufacturer Wagner & Schönherr has acquired the trademark rights to the Berlin-based start-up Osta Küchen-Elemente. This move marks the company's entry into the kitchen furniture production market, extending its reach beyond its established role as a supplier of high-quality solid wood products.

Osta Küchen-Elemente, a recent player in the kitchen industry, was originally salvaged from the insolvency of the Zeyko brand by designer Hans Winkler. Under Winkler's leadership, Osta carved a niche in the market with innovative products like the outdoor kitchen concept BBQPIPE. As both the managing director and creative force behind Osta, Winkler has been instrumental in shaping the brand's reputation for imaginative design and quality craftsmanship.
Wagner & Schönherr's partnership with Osta is not new. The family-run firm, now led by Frank and Philipp Schönherr, has long supplied Osta with essential components such as solid wood worktops, counters, and tables. This acquisition cements the partnership and opens new doors for Wagner & Schönherr, granting them the opportunity to establish themselves as a prominent producer in the kitchen furniture segment.
The future of Osta's current licensed manufacturer, Goldbach Kirchner, remains uncertain. Despite inquiries, no official statements have been made regarding whether the large carpentry company will continue as a partner in the newly aligned operations.
