TMF produces a monthly report - TMF's market report - which shows the total order intake and deliveries in terms of value and number of houses divided into detached and group-built single-family houses, apartments in apartment buildings, holiday homes, other and exports.

The value of the total order intake for January-November 2024, compared to the same period in 2023, increased by 5 percent to SEK 5.5 billion (SEK 5.2 billion). The number of orders received for individually built single-family houses increased by 10 percent, while group-built single-family houses decreased by 1 percent. The total exports for the member companies decreased by 33 percent to SEK 474 million (711 million).

Building permits applied for - reduction by 17 percent
The statistics show that the total number of building permits applied for prefabricated houses was 781 (940) during the first half of 2024, a decrease of 16.9 percent compared to the first half of 2023. The proportion of ready-to-assemble wooden houses was 76.7 percent, wooden houses made of loose timber were 19, 7 percent and stone houses 3.6 percent.
The statistics also show applied for building permits distributed by county, with Västra Götaland leading the way with the highest number of applied for building permits during the period, followed by Stockholm and Skåne. Requested building permits for prefabricated houses are reported twice a year (half year and full year). Source is Byggfakta AB, processed by TMF.
