As we're nearing the end of the year, how do you look back on 2024?
'While 2024 presented challenges for the industry overall, it proved to be a remarkable year for The Good Plastic Company. We experienced substantial growth, with revenue increasing by over 50%. This success has provided us with a strong foundation for 2025, and we're particularly encouraged to see our materials being specified in increasingly larger-scale projects.'
What was the biggest challenge for the industry in 2024?
'We observed a notable slowdown, particularly in Q4 2024, with many projects being postponed rather than cancelled, shifting to Q1 or Q2 2025. This can be attributed to several factors: political uncertainty, including the U.S. elections, ongoing conflicts in Europe, and economic deceleration in Western European markets. Despite these headwinds, we maintain a positive outlook for 2025 and anticipate industry recovery, with numerous significant projects in the pipeline.'

What were some of the trends this year?
'Several key trends emerged in 2024. First, we've noticed a clear shift toward neutral palettes, moving away from bold or assertive tones. In response, we've developed a new collection featuring earth-toned colourways, scheduled for launch in early 2025.
The sustainability movement continues to gain momentum, expanding beyond retail environments. We're seeing increased adoption among more traditionally conservative sectors, particularly large-scale office projects and hospitality chains. This paradigm shift not only validates our material's environmental credentials but also affirms its performance characteristics and quality standards.
Another significant trend is the growing demand for customisation. Clients increasingly seek bespoke patterns and colourways, moving away from standardised solutions toward more personalised interiors. This aligns perfectly with our capabilities – we offer over 100 patterns and can deliver custom samples within two weeks of initial inquiry.'

What are your plans for 2025?
'We're positioning ourselves for continued growth, with potential acceleration in certain markets. North America remains a key focus, where we're seeing robust project opportunities.
Early 2025 will see the launch of our new neutral collection. We're also particularly excited about our collaboration with Mario Romano, a renowned artist based in Santa Monica, California. This partnership explores the integration of our panels into sophisticated 3D wall applications, including backlit installations with intricate patterns that Mario designed exclusively with Polygood® in mind. The results are stunning!
We'll maintain our presence at key exhibitions and design weeks, continuing to engage with architects and designers while introducing new solutions, patterns, and colourways. Our focus remains on growth through innovation and design excellence.
Lastly, I'd like to extend warm holiday wishes to everyone in our design community!'
