The new stand at ISH, designed by Snøhetta, presents Laufen's innovative solutions and new projects, while highlighting the company's resource-conscious approach with a commitment to a more sustainable future.
The bathroom environment has undergone a major evolution in recent years, both in the design of spaces and in technological and material innovation. Laufen has played an important role in this transformation thanks to a holistic approach that integrates ceramics, taps, baths, furniture, mirrors, accessories and concealed installation systems, all characterised by a high degree of innovation and unique design, always created with a strong commitment to sustainable production.
At ISH 2025, Laufen is renewing its collaboration with Norwegian transdisciplinary studio Snøhetta, with which the Swiss bathroom specialist shares a common ethos based on the careful use of resources and water efficiency. "What LAUFEN and Snøhetta have in common is their commitment to sustainable solutions. Just as Snøhetta incorporates the latest findings for regenerative and sustainable architecture into its designs, LAUFEN sets standards for production without CO2 emissions. The new electric tunnel kiln in Gmunden shows great innovative strength in the field of sustainability," says Patrick Lüth, Snøhetta Partner and Managing Director of the Innsbruck studio.
The new stand transforms the visit into an exciting experience and highlights the central themes for Laufen: continuous technological research, the evolution of design, dialogue with the world of architecture and, above all, a future that prioritises sustainability and shows greater care for natural resources. In Frankfurt, Laufen will present ceramic products fired without CO2 emissions at its state-of-the-art production plant in Gmunden, where the company has implemented the world's first CO2-free electric kiln for the production of sanitary ceramics. The subtle balance between water-saving technology and refined aesthetics is masterfully represented by the wide range of taps on display and by the revolutionary save! toilet with urine separator developed with Austrian design studio EOOS, which also offers an important solution for wastewater treatment.
