John Lewis has been granted the Royal Warrant of Appointment as a supplier of Household Goods and Furnishings to His Majesty King Charles III. This prestigious recognition reflects John Lewis' long-standing commitment to quality and service, marking a significant milestone for the retailer.
Peter Ruis, Executive Director of John Lewis, expressed his pride in the achievement, stating: 'It's a proud moment to be recognised by His Majesty with his Royal Warrant. For 160 years, we've focused on delivering excellent customer service and high-quality products, and this Royal Warrant is a testament to the dedication of our Partners and suppliers.'
The announcement follows the granting of a Royal Warrant to Waitrose, part of the John Lewis Partnership, earlier this year, which recognised the grocer as a supplier of groceries and wine to His Majesty. John Lewis joins a prestigious list of retailers that have supplied the Royal Household for at least five years.
John Lewis has a history of receiving Royal Warrants, with both John Lewis Reading and John Lewis Oxford Street having previously held Warrants from Her late Majesty The Queen. Additionally, Peter Jones in Sloane Square was recognised by both the former Prince of Wales and the late Duke of Edinburgh.
This latest recognition highlights John Lewis' ongoing commitment to supporting local communities and maintaining high environmental standards. As part of the John Lewis Partnership, the company continues to prioritise its purpose-driven approach, aiming to create a fairer and more sustainable future for its Partners, customers, suppliers, and communities.
The John Lewis Partnership, which also owns Waitrose, remains the UK's largest employee-owned business, driven by a mission to serve as a force for good. John Lewis operates 34 stores across the UK, while Waitrose has over 300 branches, including convenience stores and locations at Welcome Break service areas. Their omnichannel approach includes services such as Waitrose.com and specialist online shops like waitrosecellar.com for wine.
With this Royal Warrant, John Lewis reaffirms its position as a trusted supplier of household goods, continuing to meet the highest standards of service and quality expected by the Royal Household.
