Vescom Groep B.V. will continue Raymakers' activities, providing a new future for the velvet producer, which is making a partial restart following its bankruptcy in October 2024.
With this acquisition, Vescom is committed to preserving jobs and supporting the region's industrial heritage. Velvet production will continue at both the Gemert and Helmond locations, as will the high quality and craftsmanship that Raymakers has been known for over the years.
The new company, Vescom Velvets B.V., will become part of a strong, internationally active organisation focused on long-term stability and regional production. This development will allow Raymakers' rich history, dating back to 1773, to continue, complemented by Vescom's expertise and vision. Existing and future customers and suppliers remain highly valued partners and can count on our continued commitment.
Koninklijke Nederlandse Textielfabrieken J.A. Raymakers & Co. B.V. has been a key player in Dutch textile history for more than 250 years, producing high-quality velvet fabrics. Its curtain and upholstery fabrics are distributed worldwide through various channels.
