Children's furniture wholesaler declared bankrupt

A wholesaler of children's furniture has been declared bankrupt by the Zutphen District Court. The company has been assigned Guido Roest as receiver. The company has a wide range of children's furniture, including cots, children's beds and related furniture, which can be purchased through Leen Bakker and Morres Hulst, among others.

Lion International B.V., which operates under the trade names Bopita, Toi Toi Kids, Coco Milou and Pebbelrebel, is based in Elst (Gelderland). Since its establishment in 1987, it has been active in the production and distribution of furniture for children. The company had positioned itself as a key player in the international market, with a focus on creating safe, durable and attractive furniture for children's bedrooms.

Bopita, one of Lion International's key brand names, is a company with a rich history. The brand was founded by a family man, who used his experiences as a father of four children to develop the brand. Bopita specifically addresses the needs of parents looking for furniture that is both functional and safe for their children. Bopita's designs emphasise durability, safety and longevity, with a view to creating a safe and comfortable environment for children.

The company also emphasises its responsibility towards the environment and strives for sustainable production methods to leave a livable world for future generations. In addition, Bopita supports several charities, including the Children's Fund and Ronald McDonald Houses, to support parents who want to be close to their sick children during difficult times.

Trustee Guido Roest will take a close look at the debt and examine whether a relaunch is among the possibilities.
