Nordal strengthens its position as one of Denmark's leading furniture and interior companies. This means that the family business's two sub-brands, AYU and Simple Days Yoga, have now been separated into an independent company.
Starting January 1, 2025, Nordal will focus 100% on developing the core business of the nearly 30-year-old family-owned company. Leading this development are brothers Mads and Emil Nordal, who will continue to run the company that was founded in 1995 by their father, Ingolf Nordal.
Mads Nordal will remain as CEO and co-owner of Nordal, while Emil Nordal will continue as co-owner and take on the role of Director.
'Together with Emil and our talented, loyal employees, I look forward to continuing the growth journey that, in recent months, we've seen Nordal move towards,' says CEO Mads Nordal.
As part of Nordal's new strategic direction, the company will also spin off its two younger sub-brands, AYU – focused on Ayurvedic body care – and yoga equipment under the brand Simple Days Yoga. Both brands will continue under an independent company, led by their sister, Signe Nordal.
'As a family, we are, of course, incredibly proud that both AYU and Simple Days Yoga, after only a few years in the market, have grown so large and strong that they can stand on their own,' says Mads Nordal, who is already working on the strategy to take Nordal's furniture and interiors to even more European markets.
