Stilnovo presents iconic lighting at Maison & Objet 2025

Stilnovo, the historic lighting manufacturer founded in Milan by Bruno Gatta in 1946, is set to make its debut at Maison & Objet, the prestigious international design exhibition in Paris, from 16 to 20 January 2025. The company will showcase a range of its timeless lighting designs alongside new pieces, all reflecting its unique blend of Italian craftsmanship and innovative design.

At the exhibition, Stilnovo will present several of its iconic designs, including masterpieces from its historical collection, as well as exciting new releases. Among these is "Torino," designed by Japanese designer Shigeaki Asahara, a versatile lamp suitable for various environments. Featuring an articulated arm and adjustable head, Torino offers easy customisation for different settings, whether professional or residential. The lamp also includes touch dimmers and can be paired with a round base, clamp, or wall bracket.

Another standout is "Demì Moon," designed by Mirco Crosatto in 2023. This striking piece is a transparent dome that, when switched on, emits a soft, even light thanks to the innovative OptiLight™ technology. The lamp is suspended from a three-legged structure and can be adjusted to point in multiple directions.

"Saliscendi," designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1957, will also be on display. This adjustable dual-emission lamp was originally created for the Milan Chamber of Commerce and has since been re-engineered with dimmable LED light sources. It allows the luminous body and reflective disc to slide along cables, offering versatile lighting options that can be adjusted for direct or indirect illumination.

Stilnovo will also present the "Honey" lamp by Pio and Tito Toso, a refined and elegant design inspired by the natural shape of a beehive. The lamp's modular elements can be arranged to create both linear and circular configurations, offering a warm, glare-free light.

Other featured products include "Triedro" by Joe Colombo, a flexible metal lamp from 1970, and "Meta," an icon of Italian design originally created by Stilnovo in the 1970s. Designed by Jonathan De Pas, Donato D'Urbino, and Paolo Lomazzi in 1978, "Fante" is a lamp that combines elegant design with practical functionality. "Minibox," designed by Gae Aulenti and Piero Castiglioni in 1981, is a table lamp with a distinctive design inspired by miners' lamps, while "Goleta," designed by Studio Nizzoli Associati in 1969, features a unique wall or ceiling lamp design incorporating plastics and modular elements.

Stilnovo's participation in Maison & Objet is a key milestone for the brand as it seeks to reaffirm its position in the global design landscape. The company's modern reinterpretations of classic designs, alongside new works from contemporary designers, showcase its commitment to blending design history with cutting-edge technology.

Visitors to the exhibition can find Stilnovo at Stand E107 in Hall 7. With its rich history and innovative approach, Stilnovo continues to make a lasting impact in the world of design.
