RH Outlet, the luxury furniture retailer formerly known as Restoration Hardware, is set to open a new store in Commack, New York, in a space that was once occupied by a Target store. The location, situated in the Commack South Shopping Centre on Henry Street, has been approved for the outlet by the Town of Smithtown, covering nearly 41,000 square feet.

The opening date for the new RH Outlet and staffing details have yet to be revealed, but the expansion aligns with the company's strategy to offer discounted luxury furniture. RH Outlet stores primarily sell returned, discontinued, or overstocked items, providing customers with access to high-quality merchandise at reduced prices, outside of RH's standard sales channels.
The company operates 38 outlet stores across the United States, Canada, and Europe, with existing outlets in Tanger Outlets, Riverhead, and a gallery store in East Hampton. RH, which rebranded from Restoration Hardware in 2012, has grown significantly since its founding in 1979 in California. The company now operates 71 RH Galleries and has ventured into other ventures, such as the RH Guest house in Manhattan and Waterworks Showrooms, which specialise in bath and kitchen products.
This expansion into Commack reflects RH's ongoing growth and commitment to offering more affordable options to customers while maintaining the high standards associated with its brand. The addition of the new outlet is likely to draw attention from local residents and shoppers, providing them with a unique opportunity to purchase luxury furniture at discounted prices.
The location's opening is part of the ongoing revitalisation of the Commack South Shopping Centre, which continues to attract high-profile retailers. As RH Outlet prepares to open its doors, the store is expected to become a popular destination for shoppers seeking quality home furnishings at a more accessible price point.
