Flokk expands its reach into North America

Norwegian furniture manufacturer Flokk, a leader in seating design across Europe, has announced its expansion into the United States and North America through the establishment of Flokk US. This move builds on the company's previous foothold in the region, which began with its acquisition of 9to5 Seating in 2019 and was further strengthened by its 2024 purchase of commercial furnishings maker Stylex.

Flokk US will now oversee both Stylex and 9to5 Seating, with projections indicating that the division will become Flokk's largest revenue contributor. The company anticipates that North America will generate one-third of its total revenue, solidifying its global presence while maintaining the distinct identity of each brand.

To lead its North American operations, Flokk has assembled a new executive team. Frederik Fogstad has been appointed chief executive officer of Flokk US, bringing years of leadership experience, including a decade at Flokk and prior roles with Kellogg's and Coca-Cola. Fogstad has been instrumental in Flokk's international growth, including its ventures into the U.S.

Joining Fogstad is Randi Pastrovic, who transitions from her role as senior vice president of Stylex to become chief creative officer of Flokk US. Pastrovic, with over 20 years of expertise in the commercial interiors industry and a strong track record at Stylex, will guide product and marketing strategy across the U.S. portfolio.

Rich Oliver, previously chief commercial officer at 9to5 Seating, rounds out the leadership team as the new chief commercial officer of Flokk US. With over 25 years of experience in sales management within the contract furniture industry, Oliver's role will focus on driving revenue and advancing sales strategies in North America.

Fogstad expressed enthusiasm about the team's potential, stating: 'This new Flokk US leadership team brings valuable global insights and a deep understanding of our portfolio's brand identities. I am eager to build Flokk US as a curated collection of the industry's best commercial brands and work alongside this exceptional team.'
