At just a decade old, NicolaQuinto Italia has already made its mark as a rising star in the furniture and design industry. Under the passionate leadership of its managing director, Anna Teresa Cerabona, the brand has embraced innovation, adaptability, and sustainability to navigate the challenges of a fiercely competitive market. In this exclusive interview with InteriorDaily, Anna Teresa shares the journey of NicolaQuinto, insights into current market trends, and their ambitions for 2025.
The NicolaQuinto team!
NicolaQuinto Italy was founded 10 years ago with a bold vision: to create innovative and beautifully crafted furniture. Initially focused on the international market, the company began its journey by selling in the Balkan area and Eastern Europe. Just two years later, they returned to Italy and established their first showroom in Matera—a significant milestone that paved the way for further expansion.
By their fifth year, NicolaQuinto had launched its own production and prototype department, bringing every aspect of design and manufacturing in-house. 'This is our main strength,' Anna Teresa explains. 'In such a competitive market, keeping everything inside ensures that no one knows what we're working on until we reveal it to the world.'
The company's founder, Emanuele Di Cecca, a 41-year-old visionary, has built a dynamic and passionate team that has been together since the beginning. This youthful energy and cohesive collaboration drive the brand's success, according to Anna Teresa. 'I'm so proud of our company. We're a young team, that grew up together. We all focus on our aim.'
Navigating a challenging market
Reflecting on the current state of the furniture and design market, Anna Teresa admits that the past few years have been tough with the COVID pandemic and wars. 'The war had an even greater impact than COVID. During the pandemic, there was hope and a belief in new beginnings—people were eager to shop. But the war has made people hesitant, cautious about making purchases,' she says.
Despite these challenges, NicolaQuinto remains optimistic. By adapting to shifting customer preferences and leveraging their strengths, the company is staying ahead.
Trends and innovation: meeting evolving customer needs
As living spaces shrink, multifunctional furniture has become a top priority for customers, according to Anna Teresa. This is one of the trends that was visible in 2024. NicolaQuinto has responded by expanding its range of sofa beds and relaxation furniture. 'We're offering more solutions for compact apartments and modern homes,' Anna Teresa shares. 'We aim to follow trends while delivering high-quality design and beautiful pieces.'

Expanding horizons: international markets and e-commerce
Italy remains NicolaQuinto's core market, but the brand is also gaining traction in France, Belgium, and Asia. Since entering the Asian market in 2022, they've established connections in Hong Kong and are exploring opportunities in China and the rest of the Far East. 'It's not easy—it's far away, and the work is hard. But we're determined,' says Anna Teresa. 'I know the market well, and we've already made good connections.'
Another key focus for 2025 is the launch of their e-commerce platform. 'This will help us reach more customers and grow our international presence. We're looking to collaborate more with e-commerce stores,' she explains.
As a young and dynamic team, NicolaQuinto is also deeply committed to sustainability. 'We care about the planet and want to make a difference,' Anna Teresa emphasises. Last year, the company offered customers the opportunity to support reforestation efforts in Perù by planting trees for each purchased sofa. This year, they've introduced Nicolino, a charming bear crafted from sofa production waste, showcasing their dedication to reducing waste and promoting circularity.

Looking ahead to 2025
As the company prepares for the future, Anna Teresa highlights the importance of foreign fairs and international partnerships. '2024 taught us a lot about how global markets operate. In 2025, we'll focus on building on that experience,' she says. 'Even as the market evolves, we adapt. Our brand and team continue to grow, and we're excited for what's to come.'
