Located just 10 kilometres from Le Havre, the new 450 m² store showcases a range of sofas, furniture, and décor that celebrate "the art of living" designed in the Netherlands. The space blends comfort, style, and personalisation, offering customers an opportunity to transform their interiors into warm and elegant spaces.
According to the company's press release, this opening is more than just the inauguration of a new store; it marks an important step in H&H's future ambitions. The brand aims to expand significantly in France, with a target of 100 stores within five years. Currently, H&H has 66 locations across the country, each ranging from 450 m² to 900 m², and is projecting a turnover of €80 million by the end of 2024.
The store in Gonfreville-l'Orcher features collections that cater to various styles, such as the "loft factory" atmosphere for industrial fans, the gentle living collection for natural interior enthusiasts, contemporary lines for those seeking modern looks, and the family home spirit for those preferring authentic designs. The range of living room sofas available includes options from two-seater sofa beds to large XXL corner sofas, with over 300 fabric and 40 leather choices. Additionally, decorative items from COCOmaison, another Habufa brand, accessorises the H&H spaces with taste.
Emmanuel Héricher, the store manager, expressed excitement about leading the new store, saying, 'As a knowledgeable market and local expert, I am very happy to start this H&H adventure.' He added that the new store meets customer expectations with its combination of competitive pricing and a wide selection. 'Among our strengths: inspiring collections that are constantly being renewed and a passionate and experienced sales team, ready to support each customer in creating their ideal interior.'
Despite challenges in the furniture market, H&H is pushing forward with its growth plans. The brand, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in France in 2024, aims to expand its network further across urban areas in France, particularly targeting locations with more than 100,000 inhabitants. Jérôme Moll, head of the H&H network in France, confirmed the goal, stating, 'The objective is to reach 100 stores within five years to benefit from a complete territorial network.'
The opening of the Gonfreville-l'Orcher store represents an important step in H&H's ambitious strategy to establish a broader presence in the French market over the coming years.
