Little Greene is set to unveil an enchanting new wallpaper collection in collaboration with the National Trust. Launching on 20th January 2025, the "Storybook Papers" collection offers a whimsical journey into childhoods of the past, featuring eight delightful designs in a variety of charming colourways.
Inspired by historic artefacts and archives preserved by the National Trust, the collection draws upon early and mid-twentieth-century toys, decorative fabrics, and original artworks. Notably, the designs include influences from Beatrix Potter, the celebrated children's author and a key benefactor of the National Trust. Little Greene's creative team has carefully redrawn these historic elements, transforming them into elegant wallpapers coloured in signature Little Greene shades.
Creative Director Ruth shared her thoughts on the project: 'It's always an honour to access the incredible archives of the National Trust, discovering historic designs and reimagining them for contemporary homes. These wallpapers, inspired by cherished toys, children's illustrations, and fabrics, will bring joy for years to come, extending the legacy of these beautiful pieces of history.'
The wallpapers are designed to pair effortlessly with Little Greene paints, offering home-owners a seamless way to create harmonious interiors. The collection's light-hearted designs are perfect for spaces shared by children and adults alike, combining nostalgia with timeless appeal.
Every roll of "Storybook Papers" contributes to the National Trust's vital work in preserving over 500 historic sites, 780 miles of coastline, and 250,000 hectares of countryside. This partnership ensures that the beauty of nature and heritage remains accessible for generations to come.
