In 2025, Janua celebrates its 20th anniversary, a significant milestone reached with the support of partners, companions, and friends. To mark this special year, the company is launching the campaign "12 Friends, 12 Stories", offering a deeper look into the lives of those who have uniquely shaped Janua. Each month, a different individual will share personal insights, inspirations, and their favourite piece from Janua's collection, illustrating the brand's essence of authentic connections, a passion for design, and the strength of collaboration.

Kicking off this series is Christian Seisenberger, the founder and creative force behind Janua, whose vision has turned the company into a respected name in the world of furniture design. In an interview, he reflects on 20 years of Janua, offering insights into what makes the brand special.

When asked what Janua means to him, Christian shared, 'Janua is much more than a business to me. It's both my profession and my calling.' He elaborates on how Janua allowed him to fulfil a dream he had at the age of 22: to create furniture that would not only be appreciated locally but also distributed worldwide. Today, Janua is a leader in the table segment within Germany, and Christian sees the brand as the realisation of his vision.

Christian's personal favourite product from Janua is the Butterfly table. He explains, 'The Butterfly requires experience, passion, and a deep understanding of wood as a material. It's fascinating how two simple boards can come together to form a Butterfly.' He points out that not all wood is suitable for this design, and it takes both craftsmanship and expertise to create the distinctive shape of the table. It's this attention to detail and skill that sets the Butterfly apart from typical tables.

Reflecting on significant moments in Janua's journey, Christian mentions the brand's recognition as "Marke des Jahrhunderts" (Brand of the Century) as a key milestone. He also treasures the smaller, more personal experiences, such as the company's Christmas parties, where the team and friends come together to celebrate the year's hard work. For Christian, these moments capture the familial atmosphere that is at the heart of Janua's values.

Looking to the future, Christian expresses his hope for a stable and fulfilling work environment at Janua, where the team can collaborate, invest in new ideas, and celebrate successes without the constant pressure of growth. He emphasises that Janua does not need to grow in the traditional sense, like in revenue or employee numbers. Instead, he hopes for growth in experience, quality, and efficiency, with the brand continuing to stand firm on its core values: reliability, honesty, integrity, and quality. Christian believes that if these principles are upheld, the future of Janua will naturally fall into place.

The interview concludes with Christian's heartfelt thanks for two decades of support and collaboration, marking a significant chapter in the company's history.
