Götz Stamm appointed as new managing director at Wilkhahn

Götz Stamm has assumed the role of managing director at Wilkhahn, a prominent office furniture manufacturer based in Bad Münder, Lower Saxony. His appointment, which took effect at the beginning of January 2025, follows the departure of Thomas Mänecke, who left the company's management in early 2024. Since then, Wilkhahn had been operating under interim management, with the objective of identifying a permanent successor in a careful and measured manner.

Stamm brings with him a wealth of experience, having held various leadership positions throughout his career. After serving as a naval officer, he transitioned into management roles within an American technology group, where he gained extensive international experience across Germany, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. He later managed a medium-sized company within the office sector, further expanding his expertise in industrial sectors, public clients, and the consumer goods industry. His experience includes leading transformation projects, developing new markets, and driving digitalisation and innovation efforts.

Dr Jochen Hahne, Chairman of the Advisory Board and shareholder at Wilkhahn, expressed confidence in Stamm's capabilities, stating, 'Götz Stamm's background of expertise and experience, along with his strong personal motivation to successfully develop Wilkhahn, convinced us.' He added that Stamm's combination of skills gained in both large groups and smaller, medium-sized companies would enable Wilkhahn to make significant progress.

Wilkhahn, which has been a leader in the premium office furniture sector, has had a history of success, particularly in Europe. With Stamm at the helm, the company is poised to build upon its existing strengths and continue expanding in both domestic and international markets.
