VitrA's MD Steve Breen to Join Julian Bowen Furniture as CEO

Steve Breen, the Managing Director of VitrA, has announced that he will be stepping down from his role to take up the position of Chief Executive Officer at Julian Bowen Furniture. Breen has been with VitrA since 2022, where he played a pivotal role in driving several key initiatives, including the Vitality Retail Partner programme and the launch of a 100% recycled wash basin.

Before his time at VitrA, Breen had a successful career with companies such as Ideal Standard and Electrolux UK, where he held roles including Sales Director. His move to Julian Bowen Furniture marks a new chapter in his career. The company, which has been in business for 30 years, specialises in supplying interior furniture across the UK, including products for bathrooms, bedrooms, and home offices.

Breen made his announcement via LinkedIn, where he expressed his gratitude for his time at VitrA. He wrote: 'Today marks a significant change for me as I work my last day for VitrA Bathrooms. It's been an absolute honour to lead VitrA UK since July 2022, in what has been a dynamic period for the business.' He continued, 'I've loved every minute with VitrA and would like to thank all of my friends at Eczacıbaşı Building Products Group and especially the UK team who have been outstanding professionals and friends throughout my time at VitrA. This month marks a new chapter in my leadership journey, and a new direction for me. I look forward to stepping into my role as CEO of Julian Bowen Furniture and leading the company to future success.'

During his tenure at VitrA, Breen was focused on significant growth, with plans to double the brand's size by 2027. Independent showrooms were identified as a crucial part of this strategy. His leadership saw the company introduce innovative products, such as the eco-friendly wash basin, a move that highlighted VitrA's commitment to sustainability.

Breen's decision to leave VitrA comes at a time when the company is experiencing a period of significant transformation. Under his leadership, VitrA has made strides in strengthening its market presence and broadening its product range. As he prepares to take on the challenge at Julian Bowen Furniture, he is expected to continue driving growth and innovation in his new role.

Julian Bowen Furniture, under Breen's guidance, is set to benefit from his extensive experience in the industry. His previous roles at Ideal Standard and Electrolux UK have provided him with a strong foundation in sales and business development, making him well-placed to lead the company into its next phase of growth.

As Breen transitions into his new role, industry observers are keen to see the impact of his leadership at Julian Bowen Furniture, with expectations that he will build on the company's strong reputation and guide it toward even greater success in the future.
