Tapi Carpets & Floors is set to expand its presence in the UK with the opening of shop-in-shops at John Lewis stores, following the closure of The Floor Room last year. The first concession will debut at John Lewis Oxford Street next month, with plans to extend the concept to an additional 16 stores by summer 2025.

Previously, John Lewis had partnered with The Floor Room, an upmarket flooring retailer owned by Nestware Holdings. However, after The Floor Room closed, a gap in the market for premium flooring at John Lewis emerged. Tapi Carpets & Floors is stepping in to fill this void with its own concessions.
The new store-in-stores will feature a premium selection of Tapi-branded carpets and flooring, alongside high-quality John Lewis carpets and other top British flooring brands. According to Tapi's managing director, Jeevan Karir, the new concessions aim to offer a diverse range of high-quality products. 'Our concession stores will offer a premium selection of Tapi branded carpets and flooring, plus high-quality John Lewis carpets and the best of British flooring brands,' he said.
Additionally, Tapi's home visit service and digital platform will be accessible to John Lewis customers through the retailer's website, offering a seamless shopping experience across online and in-store channels. This expansion into John Lewis stores marks a significant step for Tapi, further cementing its position as a key player in the UK flooring market.
