The Hong Kong Furniture and Decoration Trade Association (HKF&DA) made its debut at the Maison&Objet interior design fair in Paris from 16–20 January 2025. This initiative, titled "HK+FR: Furniture for World Design," is supported by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
The exhibition, emphasised the craftsmanship and creativity of Hong Kong's furniture sector. Collaborations featured local design masters such as Joey Ho, Tommy Li, Walter Ma, and Victor Wong, alongside international award-winning talents from the Maison&Objet Rising Talent Awards of 2023 and 2024.
Renowned for their innovative designs, the four Hong Kong designers presented unique collections, including furniture, lighting, and decorative art. Ho brought whimsical creations from P A L Design Group, Li showcased tranquil designs inspired by harmony, Ma contributed fashion-inspired furnishings, and Wong displayed multimedia works that merge art and technology.
Prominent international Rising Talents like Sébastien Cluzel, Jenna Kaës, and Felix Rasehorn also participated, introducing designs blending traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge techniques. Eleven Hong Kong-based manufacturers, including Arredamenti Company Ltd. and Profilia, also collaborated on this showcase, reinforcing the region's commitment to quality and innovation.
HKF&DA Chairman Allen Kwong celebrated the event as a milestone, saying it reflects the association's 70-year legacy of promoting "culture, creativity, and craftsmanship" globally.
