Majken Pape, appointed as the director of Hanstholm Køkken in June 2024, has now become a co-owner of the kitchen manufacturer, acquiring a 20% stake in the company. The announcement was made via a LinkedIn post where Pape thanked Villy Jæger and Lars Gantzel for bringing her into the ownership group, noting, 'I greatly appreciate our collaboration.'

Pape's decision to buy into the company comes after Hanstholm Køkken posted a deficit of DKK 5.2 million for 2023, attributed to the financial aftermath of a bankruptcy the previous year. Pape explained that the deficit was caused by costs related to customers who had pre-ordered kitchens before the bankruptcy but had not received their products.
Despite the challenges, Pape remains optimistic about the company's future. She stated that she would not have accepted the directorial role if she had not believed in the long-term potential of the business. Her experience, including roles as CFO at Søstrene Grene and CEO of Skousen, is expected to be valuable as Hanstholm Køkken navigates the pressures of operating in a competitive kitchen industry.
